What is Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation?

Vestibular rehabilitation is a specialized form of therapy that focuses on the vestibular system that includes the inner ear and portions of the brain that process sensory information regarding equilibrium, balance, and eye movements. Regarding concussions, abnormal vestibular function secondary to a concussion can result in the over reliance on the visual system for function, causing eye strain, headaches, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, and difficulty with daily tasks.
